Trips

Detect vehicle trips automatically by monitoring engine on/off events (running/stopped) or configure alternative triggers such as EV power cycles, ignition status, or custom CAN signals to match your fleet’s needs.

Visualize each journey on a detailed map with start and end addresses, plotted route lines, total distance and duration, plus in-trip metrics like speed fluctuations and idle periods—all filterable by date or vehicle.

Categorize trips with labels such as personal or business, apply advanced filters (distance thresholds, duration ranges), and export selected journeys in Excel or CSV format for compliance, billing, or operational analysis.

Automate your data flow using Automatic Exports: schedule an export task to trigger after the trip_end event (default 10 min delay), then deliver results via email or JSON webhook, ensuring every completed trip is captured without manual intervention.
Integrate via our API tasks/ endpoints to list export jobs, download result files with tasks/{id}/result/, and clear archives using tasks/{id}/clear_result/, providing a seamless pipeline from trip completion to downstream systems.

Control exports on demand by POSTing to tasks/ with the core task core.tasks.es_trip_export and your trip_id, then fetch or rerun past exports to satisfy ad-hoc reporting, compliance checks, or data retention policies.

Geofences

Create new geofences by drawing polygon shapes or defining a circular radius on the map, then assign each fence a custom name and color for quick visual reference.

Manage all geofences in the Fleet Geofences tab: edit boundaries, toggle fences on or off, and review summary metrics like total entries and exits per zone.

Assign geofences to specific vehicles or vehicle groups to focus monitoring and ensure alerts only fire for relevant assets.
Configure notification channels—email alerts or JSON webhook callbacks—for enter and exit events, keeping your team informed in real time.

Monitor live geofence activity with an interactive dashboard showing event logs, timestamps, and a map overlay indicating each vehicle’s inside/outside status.

Vehicle Groups

Organize your fleet into custom vehicle groups for streamlined management—define a group name, assign vehicles in bulk, and maintain a clear fleet hierarchy.

Manage group memberships from the Groups tab: search for vehicles, add or remove members in one click, rename groups, and toggle group status to match evolving operational needs.
Filter your interactive map and vehicle list by group to focus on specific segments of your fleet—perfect for department-based monitoring or regional oversight.

Integrate with our API using the /groups/ endpoints to programmatically create, update, list, or delete groups, enabling seamless alignment with your internal systems.
Combine groups with geofence rules, trip exports, and notifications to automate targeted workflows and ensure only relevant vehicles trigger events or reports.

Locations

Define and manage operational areas such as offices, headquarters, or depots by naming each location and adding details like address, contact email, phone, and notes to keep your fleet organized.

Visualize all your locations on an interactive world map alongside a list view for quick filtering and navigation—hover over any marker to see summary details and click to dive into assigned assets.

Create new locations in seconds: click “Create,” enter mandatory fields (name and contact email), then use the geofence tools to draw a circle or polygon boundary and choose a color for clear map distinction.

Assign vehicles or entire groups directly to each location via the edit popup—search by name, VIN, or group, enable multiple assets at once, and save to instantly update the Vehicles column with counts and quick links.

Control user access by assigning team members to specific locations so they see only the vehicles and operations relevant to their area, enforcing access restrictions and simplifying workflows.

Integrate with our API’s /locations/ endpoints to automate creation, updates, listing, or deletion of locations and export location-vehicle mappings for external analytics or reporting.

Reports

Generate detailed reports in AutoPi Cloud that empower fleet managers with insights into fleet performance and driver behavior, enabling data-driven decisions to improve safety and efficiency.

Access simplified overviews of vehicle interactions with geofences, monitor idle times, analyze route efficiency, and evaluate where your fleet spends the most time—all from a centralized Reports menu.
Download reports as PDF files for offline review, distribution, or archival, ensuring critical insights are always at hand, even when away from the dashboard.

Schedule recurring Geofence Summary Reports—daily, weekly, or monthly—and find them neatly organized under the Schedules tab, complete with timestamps, frequency details, and quick action buttons.
Within Geofence Summary Reports, track entries and exits, monitor unauthorized stops, measure time spent in each zone, and review comprehensive event logs for detailed geofence performance analysis.

Life-cycle Management

Orchestrate your fleet’s life-cycle by defining Vehicle States (e.g., Maintenance, Active, Retired) and linking each to specific Notification Channels so you’re instantly alerted on every state change.
